Weigh In Report Strong Medicine Offered for What Ails Boxing March 26 SA Event Center report  and photos Esteban Erik Stipnieks

There are things that are killing boxing. Like abscesses with mrsa they poison the blood and sap strength out of the body. Canned cards with media bought and paid for by the promoter with the hometown hero getting opponents in an outcome as predictable as WWE show has driven fans away from the sport in droves. The weigh in at San Antonio mens club reveals that Gabriel Carlin knows the score a scalpel in surgeon’s hand, the latest anti biotic and hibiclins that pink soap is being taken to the abscess. What is the scalpel….it is who the opponents are in the co main events, the anti-biotic is an under card that is local and authentic. The hibiclins….at the weigh in two reporters who do not work Carlin were at the weigh in. Gabriel Carlin has not paid me or the reporter from examiner. This puts him in a class above many promoters. Now let’s review the slice of scalpel.

Joseph Rios has a real opponent who is scheduled to fight Yanez. Rafael Casias. That opponent I probably shot photos of as amateur in San Antonio while from Ft. Worth had a share of his amateur career in San Antonio leaving 2003. He at the weigh in ran a cross his trainer from Atascosa boxing and you can see friendship remains. One critic of Casias said his last three opponents were what I ate Wednesday…..tuna. That critic did add though expect the fight to go to the distance.

James Cantu’s opponent….says he could upset and wants to fight in San Antonio. He has not been what Cantu has faced recently James also has to fight for his name. Eloy Saurez was not the only boxer who has fought with booze. Can Cantu win two battles tomorrow? Could Robert Hill pull a Rolanda Andrews? He made Salvador Roa work….in Austin. I got outside confirmation that there is a real possibility of an upset or at least an interesting fight.

This co main event combo offers the real possibility to be like a scalpel cutting into infected skin potentially painful (You gotta come to watch) surgery leaving local boxing stronger afterwards. Gabriel Carlin scheduled this.

Strangely enough all the bouts were within contract weight, this made for a drama free weigh in.  When weights are made easily it generally means competitive action for the night. Roll in the potent anti biotic and the hibiclins wound this fight card offers at least some of cure for what his hurting boxing.

Tickets still available gates open SA Event Center 410 at Marbach 6:30 come see a fight card put together by a promoter who has what many others lack! (Call it courage)
