Loud....the only way you can describe Christina Ruiz.  She is a graduate of John Jay high school and is larger then life in personalty.  While Christina trains, her moods and feelings are made known to all in the gym.  When the chips are down though, after a loss in NJ Christina Ruiz invaded North Texas.  The outcome surprised one who had not seen Christina train but was aware of the New Jersey adventure.  The outcome was a shock for Lisa and others who believed Christian was more hype then bite.  Celina Salazar had defeated Lisa Lamb but, only Christina can claim a knockdown.  The two have tentatively agreed to face each other December 5th.  They were slated to meet for Christina's professional debut but Celina Salazaar pulled out at the last moment.  Last I heard a verbal agreement had been reached. There are others who would step in if Celina backs out.  A back out would in my opinion be unbecoming of the Celina Salazar that quite frankly is easy to be a fan of.  I have quipped about the fight it is very much like a female version of Chips Christina is  the female professional boxing version of Ponch.  The personalty of Celina Salazar has been likened to that of Officer John Baker.  For the male fan of professional women boxing the contrast is quite stark let’s look at Christina in her training session.

If the bout goes through it will show Celina has Officer John Baker class.  It will be a nice touch to a card that has local favorites James Cantu along with up and coming Jorge Suarez who is yet to go a total of four rounds though he has fought twice.  The only 4 involved in his last bout was the number of times his opponent hit the the Canvas.  For more info on the upcoming bout call Emilio Ledezma (210) 638-8574
