SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Professional boxing talent Felipe 'El Silencioso' Castaneda
of San Antonio, Texas got a kick out of sparring this week from recent breaking
news that he is no longer able to train at the famous San Fernando boxing Gym.
"According to Castaneda, the gym director Pete Ramirez told him that he cannot
train there anymore. He then asked him for what reason and he did not have any
reason, then he said because he was a pro fighter."
"The odd thing about this is that pros have been training there since it first
opened. There are still many other pros that train there but so it seems they
are taking this personal," said his brother, Kendo Castaneda.
Such news has brought the brothers closer than ever. Since the news broke out,
Felipe and his brothers have started training in their garage, calling it, "our
boxing gym." Such a shame that the three brothers have grown at San Fernando.
Not even Felipe getting kicked out of San Fernando is stopping these brothers
from training together. "Guess they just have made our life story that much
better because we do what is best for us," said his brother, Jairo Castaneda.
