Why is liberalism or as Mark Levin calls it statism the dominant philosophy on college campuses? Could it be that the structure of University the values of campuses and frailties of human nature make statism the most logical leap for a college professor?

1 Corinthians chapter 8 verse 1 says Knowledge puffs up. Among University professors you have a vast store of knowledge and a mass store of ego. At its core statist philosophy believes that an enlightened government can better regulate economic affairs, health habits of those it governors. A statist government is a far reaching government which dictates much of life. That government would be dominated by intellectual elite. The presence of knowledge puffs and puts university professors in the position where they sincerely believe they are morally obligated to manage the affairs of the less informed.

The belief in human perfectibility through the right intellectual input is the predominant belief on most university campuses. Now in this world of cerebral theory the belief in the force of law to perfect the human condition is taken as a given. So it becomes a matter of generating the right set of laws to address folly and after all whom better to generate the laws then a college professor a learned mind so to speak. Because the professor is better then the misinformed ludite or religious zealot the college prof having the knowledge not only has the right but obligation to impose the wisdom if someone is too stupid to see it.

Take away humility add a large dose of knowledge and what do you have? You have a knowledgable folly factory aka modern university campus. The most logical conclusion you can have if you believe in the perfectibility of man and dominance of your own intellect is if I can not convince people there ought to be a law to enforce my wisdom!

Imagine a base four code that regulates a very complex entity from a whole host of micro machines to conversion of assorted fuels to electrical energy producing motion and data storage, memory storage, video outputs, and text streams. This computer/robot would have had to have a designer. Well that base four code that is written out would be thousands of pages of code for this complex robot/ super computer is a human being. I just spoke the most howling thing you can say in most biological departments on university. The concept of intelligent design strikes below the scientific level it is abhorrent to modern academia at modern academia’s very core. The ramifications of intelligent design place the human mind no longer as supreme and introduce that if we are the product of a design we are subject to the will of designer.

If human beings are the product of intelligent design then the peak of authority goes beyond human beings. It also means that human intellect is not the final say so in the universe. This makes truth static. Instead of a temple of human kind that is presently constructed a university campus suddenly is devoted to something that does not change. Being created means well the creator is obliged to be worshipped. If man is not self made man can not worship himself.

Ok so if we are created….well that means our creator can…..or if our creator spoke then well that truth is immutable and we can not change it. You mean those ludite Christians and their hokey faith where Christ said he was the truth maybe right? The very premise of intelligent design makes that possible. Can anything be more abhorrent?

You can provide evidence which there is a growing body of that human beings were created by intelligence. Yet well those who advocated for it are Expelled. Intelligent design strikes more then a few premises that are foundation of academia. For this alone its advocates must be scorned and because the ramifications of it is the death of the religion of academia.
