The Saturday addition of the LBC championships was a long night full of competitive bouts while people were also loosely paying attention to Felipe Castaneda and his bout on the Cotto under card. Ricardo Urbina who was an amateur boxer out of San Fernando was remembered by another 10 count. Ricardo Urbina died in an auto accident early November 2011. Traditional openings include star spangled banner, invocation and a 10 if a member of the local boxing community had passed. At Traders village show the death of Urbina was not known by Staba so Saturday night that was remedied.
Some unppossed champions advancing received their medals they advanced.
Luis Castro through steady performance pounded out a 5-0 decision in the open division 123 lb weight class
Patrick Cuevas pounded to an RSC round 2 open division 123lb weight class.
It was a little less use of the jab but still effective enough to secure victory open division 132lb weight class for Jessie Martinez 3-2 was the score
Cresencio Ramos fairly cleanly won by 5-0 decision open division 132lb weight class
Ace'son Leseure pounded out a 3-2 victory open division 141lb weight class
Steve Belemontes won a 3-2 decision open division 141lb weight class
Jamie Ellis won open division 152lb weight class bout.
