Fight Card At Randy's Ballroom September 26 Offers 7 Punch combo Against complaints of Boxing's Present State words photos Esteban Erik Stipnieks all rights reserved
It was on the jobsite a framing contractor complained that boxing had become to predictable and there was no one to like in San Antonio that was why he was interested in MMA. Boxing with major promoters has sadly hurt itself and the sport seems to have its own self destructive tendencies. The fight card September Randys Ballroom 26 2009 Tickets at Fatsos(210)432-0121 answers boxing critics and promises to have more drama more human stories and flat out interest then a C-5 with its belly full of cargo. You got synchronicity , second chances, rivalries , brothers, up and coming stars in a whole host of bouts whose outcome remains a mystery and will remain so till they play out.
First synchronicity angle proceeds of this fight card will help pay the bills of Oscar Diaz. Many locally feel that the chain of events involving Oscar Diaz's medical bills began in May 2008 on the card James Cantu made his pro debut on

James is coming off a dominating victory Laredo he faces tough opponent his father will be in his corner on this card of second chances honoring Oscar Diaz there is the story of another second chance end echoes of past events at Randy's Ballroom. James is coming off 2 quick KO victories in the first round he is stepping up in competition before his hometown crowd this fight card aims to redeem boxing.

The main event will feature local boxer Eloy Suarez v Isidro Arreola. Eloy May 2002 stunned the local crowd and TV audience as he defeated Quinton Whitaker. Out of view of TV cameras he hugged a sparring partner who had gone more then a few rounds with him. Eloy in Ft. Worth Texas displayed a lack of professionalism in prefight and was soundly defeated by TKO Charles Hatley in Ft Worth only to dominate Carson Jones in an exhibition in Oklahoma City rumor is this is what scared off Gatica from being his opponent in the main event! Gatica was originally scheduled Eloy will be sharing the card with fellow ex Angels boxing club boxer Jorge Saurez who happens to be his brother
Eloy had represented Mexico as am though he has been in San Antonio Texas much of his life. A snake bit delayed his debut he will be facing a former basketball player also not native to San Antonio but maybe a potential heir to Ron Simm's as gentle giant. The interest factor his Eloy his older brother has indeed sparred with his opponent!
On the female boxing side you have a fueling of local rivalry between Celina Salazar and Christina Ruiz
Celina
Salazar will be facing a former amateur teammate. She is the same weight
class as Christina Ruiz and is the very opposite in personalty. She is
free of drama hard working like Eloy Suarez when he fought at Randy's May 2002
she scored a big surprise victory in her pro debut.

There are other debut boxer from Angels and another boxer Saul Amaya from
Team Azteca boxing club. Angels boxing club is the former stomping ground
of Eloy, and Jorge. Angels boxing club has the focus of making this fight
card a success to return pro boxing to San Antonio and when I was there the
feeling of doing it for Oscar was as real as the Qurioga's memory hanging in the
gym
as James Cantu warmed up
for a sparring session training for his part of action September 26.
