Company history of Boeing says that Continental's founder Bob Six was a legend.  The airline operated a small fleet of 707s which it operated right at their max utizliation.  What remains is a strange blend of Bob Six's vision of Golden gets and some Pacific flights and Frank Lorenzo's vision of Texas International.  The TI flight from IAH to Amsterdam is now KLM's competition in the Continental flag.  SAT was serviced by both TI and Continental and remains important to Continental.  The airplane photographed is a 737-500 outfitted with winglets.
