Another Air Force Boxing Tale
First while the USAF is the youngest military service it does have its own lore and history and to understand this tale one has to understand their are types and personas. The 136th Airlift wing (long before the airlift wing was immortalized in Radney Foster's song...Angel Flight a download I would suggest you purchase the download proceeds go to a non profit that helps those families left behind). One the educated enlisted person....and the other a sweet lovable woman who can well.....She ran student flight we loved her but as she calmly stated she was former Marine....MP. A tech sargent while bearing a scar from Desert Storm had a masters degree. There was a boxer USAF who leveled an opponent in 44 seconds round 1 at Sunset Station. Maria Rodriguez embodies all three legacies warm reserved. While the USAF had their boxing championships this Security Police woman patrolled Lackland.

She is a valley resident.....doing her bit to defend our nation at Lackland air force base. She is training with Emilio Ledezma at Azteca boxing club she will be returning to action in the valley.....will she follow in the foot steps of other Air Force boxers who were pros (deliverer of brief intense nightmares shocking croweds we will find out in April.
